I'm back, back again... This time with the swedish bald Orc, Fredrik 'KnOfF' Knopf. We talk about life, Warcraft, fitness and more, so if you want to learn more about Knoff, come and check it out!
When talking about people behind the scenes in Warcraft 3 you have to mention Back2Warcraft and so I'm happy to interview Jannes 'Neo' Tjarks and Remo 'RemoDemo' Rimmel and ask them about all things Warcraft 3. So let's see what the guys have to say and jump right into it!
The 'Iron Couch' tournament just finished and as expected it was a great tournament in the same relaxed and fun style as other TakeTV tournaments, like Hearthstone's SeatStory Cup or Starcraft 2's HomeStory Cup. In this article I will talk about what this tournament could mean for the future and what participants and fans thought about it. It's a bit text heavy, but hey, sometimes you just gotta do it like that.
It hasn't been long since the last interview but I was a busy bee scheduling some more for you, so today I can present you yet another interview, this time with Oscar "Starshaped" Svedberg, who is known for not only his surprising playstyle at times, but also the fact that he frequently switches between playing Nightelf and Human.
We've talked about his private life, his playstyle and how to improve at the game, as well as many more topics. So without taking up more of your time reading this intro, let's just jump right into it!
Today I'm finally able to publish another interview, this time with William 'SyDe' Rochet, the friendly neighborhood Undead player. Jokes aside, SyDe was a great interviewee and a pleasure to work with, as we talked about his life, tournaments, game balance and more.
Today we have another interview for the 'Behind the curtains' series. This time we took the time to talk with the team captains of the GNL, the Gym Newbie League, a project that has recently emerged from within the WC3 Gym discord.
Said discord is all about learning about Warcraft, with constant discussions about strategy, game balance and how to play. Especially the latter has been a big part of the discord lately, with the announcement of Warcraft 3 Reforged bringing both new blood and seasoned players back to the game.
The GNL was created to give newer players, as well as rusty and less experienced players, a place where they can compete with others at their level in a team-league environment.
I'm happy to bring you a new interview series, highlighting the hard work and support of the people bringing us the Warcraft 3 content we all love and enjoy, from tournaments and qualifiers, to showmatches, as well as platforms to learn and get together.
Our first interviewee for the series is Julien 'Ugrilainen' Charbey, the man behind the Ugri Challenges as well as many of the western qualifiers for WGL/GCS. Of course that is by far not all, as he is also involved in many other things, like the W3iL team league, or writing the occasional articles for our site.
It's been a while since the last interview, but now I can present you another great player and community personality, that has been with Warcraft 3 since basically forever.
Infamous for his outspoken personality and famously one of the best Human players that we had in Warcraft 3 history, especially in Europe, Yoan 'ToD' Merlo is a man that splits the community. One half loves him, the other, well not so much.
It took a while to get this interview done, since he was travelling, but it was certainly a pleasure to ask another oldschool player one question after question.
After interviewing two fantastic players with very different personalities in the last two interview, I would like to present yet another unique read, this time with our Russian friend Yury 'Neytpoh" Karev.
Neytpoh, also known as Neutron, is a well known Russian Nightelf player that started competing in 2004/05. He recently qualified and played in the WGL Winter Grand Finals 2018 and in this interview we talked about his experiences in the tournament, his life, as well as how he came to play with Shocky in Ugri's 2on2 Challenge.
Yury impressed me personally with his positive attitude and rather easy-going personality, even in the face of tougher times, and it was a very nice experience interviewing him.
So without further ado, let's jump right into the interview!
Although we don't know when Warcraft 3 Reforged will actually hit the sales counter, teams are already recruiting and quite a few big names in the professional scene have already found a home to compete in the upcoming team tournaments. To grant an overview of the current teams, this article will give a short recap of the most prominent, sponsored teams and a look into what relevant free agents there are still left in the scene.
Many big names in Warcraft 3 already have a team, though not everyone, most noteworthy probably the current world champion, Moon.
